Navigating between cultural agency and arts administration: USA / Latin America approaches to arts management

As part of Seminar 1, Javier J. Hernández Acosta, Director, Business Department at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in Puerto Rico discussed the differences between traditional arts management education and cultural agency as it is known in Latin America. Also, how Latin America is creating their own framework to balance both views in academic programs and practice. He considers the challenges of regional integration (through ongoing projects) in Latin America and the importance of intercultural exchange with the diaspora in the United States.
